Prompt: it was heavier than I expected
I jumped into the car with Mum to go to Division Athletics. As Mum drove, I was shaking nervously!
I was doing Hurdles, my favourite event. I mentioned to Mum that the clouds were starting to get a bit dark.
When we arrived, I slowly got out of the car and headed to the red and white Athletics track. I went straight to my friends and practised. After a little while, I saw people coming over with ribbons in their hands.
My event got called, but as soon as I got there it bucketed down with rain. It was heavier than I expected.
