We hear our names being screamed out as we set foot on the stage. John, Bob, Mal and I get into our positions. I sit on the tiny stool with my drum set in front of me. Bob places his guitar strap over his shoulder and strums once. The crowd goes insane, but something doesn’t sound right. I can’t quite put my finger on the issue, so I let it go. We all start to play our first song but something still doesn’t sound right. It is starting to irritate me. Then it hits me, Bob’s guitar, it is completely out of tune. The crowd pick up on it too…..

Perfectly written! I enjoyed reading this. I was wondering though, if fans like you enough they sometimes overlook transgressions (mistakes). I was at a show and the singer, an old Rocker, forgot some of the words to a song that happened to be one of his most popular. The crowd got quiet for a second but they loved him and got right back to cheering!

I hope it worked out for you!

Great job!
