It was a very hot summer day. There were no clouds to be seen and Julie was bunkered down in the cool air-conditioned house.
Later in the afternoon, Julie decided to make herself a sandwich, so she headed downstairs to the kitchen. She got out the butter, cheese, lettuce, bread and some ham. She began to assemble her awesome sandwich, when, out of nowhere, the light outside disappeared, “But where did it go?” she shouted.
She ran to the telly and turned on the news, “Breaking news: a solar eclipse has made everything dark!” “Gosh and golly me,” Julie exclaimed.
