Max the Magician was fantastic but there was one thing he couldn’t do. He couldn’t make someone disappear. Max kept on trying and trying and one day his new assistant did vanish, but he didn’t know how he did it or where she went. He looked everywhere but he still couldn’t find her. Finally, Max caught sight of his assistant in a mirror laughing backstage. He walked over to her and said, “Who are you laughing at?” “You”, she replied, “because you thought you made me disappear, but really you didn’t”. “But how could she just disappear?” Max wondered, intrigued.
