“Come on John, let’s have a break from video games and go outside for a bike ride,” I said.
“Ok Toby, just let me finish this level,” John replied.
After a couple of minutes, John got up off the couch and walked over to me. “Ok,” he said, “Let’s get going.”
“Ok, I’ll just go and let Gran know that we are going out!” I enlightened him.
“Gran, John and I are going out for a bike ride,” I explained.
“Could I come along with you boys?” she asked eagerly.
“You’re too old to go bike riding, Gran!” I told her. Instantly, I saw her expression change.
“I am not!” Gran replied quickly.
“Ok, if you think you’re up to it, Oldie,” I said bluntly.
So we all set off on our bikes for a ride around the block and surprisingly, Gran kept up with John and me.
