“Where is he? Where’s Mr Ted?” I thought. I had looked everywhere but there was still no sign of him. I scanned the kitchen, my sister’s room and my bedroom, but I couldn’t find him anywhere. I retraced my steps. I ran up and down the stairs, walked circles around the living room and then checked outside. “I found him”, I screamed in joy, but he wasn’t in one piece. He was in hundreds of pieces!! I stormed back inside to see my dog, Stormy, looking at me guiltily. I stomped past him angrily. Thanks to him, my life was over.

Hi Maddy, thank you for this great piece of writing for your 100WC. I was immediately caught up in your frenzy as you realised your teddy was missing. Your short sentences helped here and made an excellent structure for a fast paced search. You used some great words well, ‘scanned’ and ‘retraced’ in particular and you had me held right to the end. I hope your life gets back on track and that you soon forgive Stormy.
