I had two choices; to stay still and let them cover me with brass, or to make a run for it and hide in the underground drains. If I did the second option, I would have to wait until the builders went for a break and then hide, but that could be risky.

I don’t think they know they’re about to cover a person who is real and alive. I go for the second option, but when I do there are rioters marching down the street. The builders look at the people and then I realise their signs say, “Don’t murder people for statues.”

Interesting conversation. Fleeing means you live another day. Staying means you are immortalized as a statue. I’m not sure what I would actually do if I were in that situation. Probably flee I suppose.
Thanks for sharing.

Erika,

This is an awesome post!I like how you started with such a dramatic beginning, and ended with a very true and meaningful statue and could easily represent another more powerful quote.

Nice grammar and spelling. Your vocabulary is so good that I don’t know what brass is.
Well go to go look up what brass is.

To Erika,
I think it is interesting that people are being covered in bronze. Another thing I thought was nice was how you started, it captured my attention. I wonder what happened next!

Dear Erika,
I like you’re creative usage of the prompt, and how you used awesome vocabulary. This story also has a good plot. It was written very nicely. How did you come up with this great idea?

I like how you made it seem like a real person’s inner dialogue.

I like the interesting plot and it is easy to figure out what is happening in the story when you’re just jumping into it for the first time, but did it mean that the builders were intentionally making real people into statues when they said “Don’t murder people for statues.”?

I like how you used dialogue in your story, it adds a nice flow to the writing. The story is very creative and I would like to know what happens next? As soon as you start reading this you can’t really stop until you read the whole story because you started with a great attention getter that made me want to read to find out what will happen to the character? Will they be ok? What happens next? Great work!
