Crash! The gate slammed down on the concrete and I sprinted down, gaining speed. I was hammering along and I eventually realised I was in first place. I came across, cutting people off, and after, I had the best line for the first corner.
As I was racing, some of the parents were working in the canteen, preparing food for everyone. Suddenly, we heard a really loud bang as a tree fell onto a power line. There was a flash of light, then darkness. Sparks flew everywhere. The power went out!
There were kids screaming and soon the adults couldn’t cook anymore food, so they felt really annoyed and went home hungry!
