We seemed to be on the television. I was doing a few laps around the track at Park Orchards when they announced that they were going to film a ‘Clubbie’ for Channel 10. A Clubbie is when you race for fun. When I got on the gate, out of the speaker I heard, “Riders ready. Didlididlidi”. The gate slammed down. I peddled and peddled. I was gaining on Tyler, who was leading. A jump came and I aced it. Suddenly the announcer said, “Champion!” I looked back and saw Tyler still coming around the corner. Then I realised I had won.
