I parked my scooter next to the heavy oak door and pushed it open. Dust rose in a transparent mist. Darting around excitedly, I stepped upon a rug that crumbled beneath my feet. I inherited this brick cottage from my late, great-grandfather. The cottage back then had a beautiful garden, now overgrown and covered in ivy. The house had a musty smell, that made me choke on the air. The furniture was covered with moth-eaten sheets and there, upon a rotten coffee table, a small painted box lay untouched.
